If outside drains or compound areas flood, cockroaches move into drier indoor spaces. Apartment buildings also face movement through shafts, ducts, common drains, and garbage rooms. Clean oil stains below the stove and near exhaust areas. Check for leaking taps, wet cabinet boards, loose drain covers, and gaps around pipe entries. Use mesh or proper covers on drains where possible.
